I used an Osprey sack for the Marathon des Sables last year (not the Talon - the Atmos 50) and after being given some of the last bits of equipment by the organisers, I repacked the bag, went to get it on and adjust it, pulled the strap...and the adjuster strap came away from the padded bit .
In the end I cadged some dental floss and stitched it back together again. It held for the race, and overall the bag fitted well and gave me no grief at all.
Someone in my tent did use the Talon (can't remember if the 33 or the 44) and the webbing across the top of the shoulder rubbed his back red raw, and he had to run with a towel underneath to give him some padding.
Not too sure if this will reflect all their bags, but food for thought.

Been thinking about this during the Apprentice - his was the 33, so larger than you were looking at.
Raidlight bags seemed to feature very heavily in the MdS, and I know that New Balance did an MdS special. Could these not be alternatives? I imagine size and design would be a good match for MM requirements?
I'll admit though I'm no expert when it comes to MMs so perhaps someone else could comment?

I thought this was somehow linked to the seagull thread.
