I wouldn't want to run with music. Especially on the hills. But then I'm not very musical.
I liked watching Gebreselassie break an world record in Birmingham a few years ago to the sound of Scatman. Brilliant!
Remember I was running with my mp3 (The Perfect Kiss by New Order) when I fell over last year and broke my arm/elbow joint.

Still listening to the 2006 Festive Fifty. I agree with daz re: wildlife, but sometimes it just nice to be in one's own world to block out the pain! Never use it at night though - nice to have all senses working then.
