You could always try a vegetable garden - works very well for us
Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.

You could try Faulkner's Organics in Rammy. I know they deliver to Rawtenstall but I'm not sure whether they venture up to the hillbilly end of the valley.

I wouldn't expect you to do the gardening daz the Missus does all the veg gardening here, my job is eating it all .

You can't beat homegrown veg though, I think it's a pity it has rather gone out of fashion. I'm not saying it's cheaper to produce (in terms of time/labour) but it is very rewarding - watching the missus dig holes and plant things

    I have an allotment Daz!!

Haven't been down there for ages. I expect I'll be receiving an eviction letter shortly.

Last year grew onions, runner beans, potatoes, strawberries..............

I need a little shed to sit and contemplate life in.

Anyone got one I can have?

We just got one too - an allotment that is. Thinking about growing onions, shallots, brocolli.. that sort of thing. Do we need a new gardening section on the forum?
