So now we get the maps out and start guessing where the midway camp is and which fells exactly we are going over. Which class are you doing?

We've been brave and moved up to Bowfell. Off at 8.13
we kick off at 9.23 and will be the two clown look a likes in the p & b vests.
8.24 for us...maybe see you all around the overnight camps...we'll be the ones refuelling on lager and guiness
We are on kirkfell class as well off at 9:00. The saunders started from fornside last time it covered the helvellyn area. My previous partner bottled a descent off Dollywagon into one of the coves vis very poor, and went the long way round via grisedale tarn losing about an hour. Had several pints in pub at midcamp and ended up having a storming run on day 2 with 3rd quickist on the 2nd day, pity we were so far down after day 1. One of my fav areas of the lakes.
is it me or are the distances a bit short?!?!? i suppose its time spent on feet as opposed to mileage covered. was expecting more than 20k though.
