Anyone know if I can get hold of old course maps from races in the Peak/Derby area?

do you mean old maps given out at races with courses on to collect or routes of races run, these you should find on websites of the local clubs

I was looking for marked maps of courses so I could practice my running and navigation on them.

Of no help whatsoever to sbrt in terms of location but one of the best sites for route maps is North York Moors AC - as I'm up in the area (well the North Yorks coast) from Wednesday evening until Sunday I've printed a few off to use as possible training runs.
