Whats wrong with the new forum

Have people noticed that this version of the forum is not as good as the earlier version?

For example: it does not accurately identify threads that you have not read.

    This is true.

It still does that annoying log out thing if you don't click 'remember me' so I don't see the point, why not automatically 'remember me' until I choose to log off?

I would have said on the plus side, that nasty Bytey man is not about any more, but a thread like this might end his hibernation??

Yes. Sometimes I dont get time to read everything I want to read so I go back in later, only to find everything being shown as read.

The qlinks > today's posts shows you the threads you have and have not read doesn't it? Threads you haven't read are in bold, then as you visit them it goes to normal font.

No, often if you come back later all the threads are unbold.

Yeh it works if you log in once, but let's say for example you are me... you log in briefly then nearly get caught by boss doing something non technical, so you then log in 2 hours later on lunch hour - all the posts I didn't get chance to read the first time are marked as read even though i had no time to read them

well actually it serves me right

The 'thread read' problem is my biggest bugbear. I stay logged on fine.
