I take Glucosamine Complete. Aswell as the hotly disputed main ingredient it contains Quercetin, MSM, Chondroitin and Rosehip and Ginger which are both anti-inflammatory. I've got no idea if it's working, but it isn't doing me any harm. One thing i know works on joints is Mega Cissus, it reduced my wrist cartilage problem by about half.

That's the one ol' lad. I get it from the chiropractors round the corner, you might find it on ebay with free delivery though. Not seen it in any health shops, holland and barratt tend to do a lot of their own ranges so i'd be surprised if they sell it, but it might be worth a try.

Instead of the pills, I use glucosamine gel from HEALTHSPAN. That way you can deliver any benefits directly to the place you're worried about. I've no idea if it really works, but it's certainly soothing. Topical Ibuprofen works, so this method shouldn't be a problem. BTW thrifty buyers will want to cut open the plastic pouch when they can't squeeze any more gel out as there is still a lot of gel in there. If you know someone who buys the Radio Times, you may be able to find a £2 discount coupon there.

Quite good evidence for topical NSAIDS: http://www.cochrane.org/CD007402/SYM...pain-in-adults
