    Huwski,

    You certainly hide it well!

I recall 'hooting and hollering' all the way down the scree off Scafell Pike last October with you (under a different name, of course) - you didn't let on then, did you!

At or before sty head tarn
On the way down from grey knotts
On the way down from dalehead.
Erm.....Im assuming that all these water sources are safe to drink from ?? wouldnt want to complete the race all nice and hydrated, but then spend the next few days on the porcelain shooting it through the eye of a needle

I "tracked" you for most of the 3 peaks, nothing much worse than that on the Borrowdale - Scree descent off Scafell Pike can be a bit daunting, you can run back down the path if not up to it. Err..that's it really.....Great Gable to Green Gable I get a bit 'twitchy' but nothing too bad.
To be honest, if Im walking them I am dreadful, race day I'm fine.

Ah, I recognise you. I think you finally got me a mile or so from the finish of the 3 Peaks, but we swapped places several times on the way there. Thanks for the info. It sounds like I ought to do the recce on 23rd June, and hope for clag.

You can also end up feeling a bit exposed on your left between Bessyboot and Glaramara, but can easily avoid it by going over the tops instead of round them.

The path down from before broad crag is a pretty steep gully too.

If anyone has real qualms, I would hazard a guess that the walkers path back to lingmell then branching off for the corridor, is not only less twitchy, but I doubt if there is more than a few seconds in it: it is scarecly 100m further

Hey up MH, you're around then; just remember, adrenaline is brown matey!

Slippery Stones - Calf Cove,Spring on Gable and Stream below Dalehead tarn have never given me any ill effects - others have though!

Marvin - Had a rush of blood towards end of 3Peaks I think!
Please don't pray for clag! I hate running knowing there is a drop "somewhere" to my right, I'd rather see it and avoid it - see Muds' comments!

AlwaysInjured - 5mins dead...sorry killing 2 birds here - Dalehead Cairn to Stream adfter Dalehead tarn; Straight off edge, headed left to cut across path and then straight down...Measured on Garmin.

Bad guess. Make that 300m - just looked at map.

At a quick count it's looking likely that at least 21 of us will be trotting round - who's bringing the bbq??
