Bad luck DT. You weren't at the Dick Hudson's race were you? I didn't spot you.

No, wasn't at DH's, just out with club. Think I spotted you up on the moor warming up though; red top??

Ice and Leffe had no effect

I've been in a bit of pain today pulled/strained Tensor fasciae latae I think (muscle from top of Femur to Iliac crest) whilst racing the rain on a steep descent yesterday. didn't start hurting though til late last night. Had ice on it today, hopefully it's just a minor injury.

first day of my holidays looking forward to a weekend in snowdonia followed by a week in the lake district, on top the glyders leaning at 45 in the strongest wind i've ever experienced went down on my ankle on the flattest most innocuous bit of grass on the whole walk. after a two hour hobble and 800 mg of iboprufen to get of the mountain, a very slow drive to bangor hospital to get the bad news i have broken my ankle.thankfully green flag got me home with my car and tent. now in bed feeling very sorry for myself

Well, I went to the physio. yesterday (pelvis very wonky and a sore quad).
Great effect on the above, but now have a very angry ITB.........I soooo want to run tomorrow too.

Will it miraculously heal itself as quickly as it came?
The previous posts on this thread would suggest..........NOT!
    Bummer.
The race is long and in the end, it's only with yourself.......

Bad news Chugger. Wish I could say it will go quickly, but (painful, frustrating) experience tells me it won't.

Rest up and combine with some of the exercises/stretches that the many of us ITB sufferes have been banging on about. Might be interesting to talk to the physio again. Do you think it was a direct result of their efforts?
