Got stung by a flying article just below my right eye yesterday while cycling along the canal bank.
I now have an allergic reaction to the sting and it looks like I have done 10 rounds with a heavy weight boxer.

    Treatment so far:-

    Antihistamine tablets
    Anti-inflammatory tablets
    Anti-septic eye gel
    Iced the area every hour

and the swelling is getting worse.

    PS Off to Turkey tomorrow

Twisted my ankle up at the 12 Apostles on Ilkley Moor last night; a long way home.
That's 3 sprains in just over 2 months.
By the time it's not too painful for off-road running again, I'll be off in France (the Tussockmaiden's wedding) so it's goodbye to the fells until September. At least it should give time to rebuild some ankle strength...wonder if I could squeeze a wobbleboard into my suitcase?

I think the old standing on one leg trick is a big help with strengthening damaged ankles Tussockface. Try and get into the habit of doing it when making a cup of tea or washing up etc

Don't try this while standing at a bar with a pint in your hand.

The combination of alcohol and standing one-legless and will lead to an inevitable fall onto the ground.

I can manage that with no difficulty.
I can also balance on the leg that isn't injured, but I guess that's not the point.
