    Meanwood Valley Trail race

Although this cracking woodland trail race (organised by Mad & Jerry's club) isn't until 14 April I see entries are starting to trickle in.

I'm hoping to run it having done so 5 times previously (but never cracked 50 mins for the 7.5 mile course, and not expecting too now). Although only a couple of short sharp climbs among an otherwise undulating course with plenty of rock/tree roots etc underfoot to think about there's usually a good number of fellrunners throughout the field including the likes of Gary Devine, Saz and Graham B in previous years.

Anyone else planning on running this year?

Decision made - my entry is on its way.

    Rhino, have you entered?

    Anyone else?

Just looked at entry list on website - now over 75% full - spotted Leeds Rhino, also FellandAle and Beders from the old forum - Daleside, if your friends want to enter I think they better be quick unless aiming on getting there very early on the day.

Keeping my (almost) personal thread alive!!

A cracking race today (350-400 runners - results will reveal total). A bit too warm at times for my liking and underfoot conditions perfect for fast running (sadly my lack of speedwork showed).

Good wins for fellrunners Richard Pattinson (42 mins+) and Jo Waites (48 mins+) respectively. Happy with my 55.12 for 88th place given recent low mileage training. Good to meet Leeds Rhino briefly plus chatted with GrahamB (both finished well in front of me), also good to get a personal 'well done Multiterrainer' from the lead finish marshal Jerry (I'm sure Mad was around somewhere as well).

Good to meet you Multiterrainer, Mad.was sitting on a big rock somewhere just after the start. I told Jo just before the start I expected her to win, heaping the pressure on her ! she didn't let me down though.
Did my Fairfield Horsheshoe recce the next day and I was too knackered to run it,just walked instead and admired the view hopefully I 'll do better on race day !
