Good effort Daz. I have some Planet-X neoprene overshoes. They seem OK on most rides. Forget Seal Skin socks on the bike though, they don't do it.

It was 8 hrs at least
Had some odd moments on the way, think I was halloucinating at one point.
But im sure i can do better if i can learn to eat.
I normally ride at 18mph but that route is to hilly for that. You could go quicker with a gang but def not solo.

The worst bit for me is always that bloody hill from bakewell. The A6. Its a nightmare .

As Sherwen says , Bridge to engine room ( More power ) , err there is f,../ all leftAttachment 1651

    Not wrong there Al

Too long ago to remember just how I felt after 135 miles on a MTB
Hoping for a far more successful 2009

I have the Assos ones which seem pretty ok at keeping the feet dry and warm but I have to say am slightly disappointed given they have shredded underneath on both of them

I'm seriously impressed Daz, you will be well prepared for "The hell of the north" or whatever else you are planning. Hopefully I can get on a turbo trainer in about a month, then look out!
By way of a target for my recuperation I have entered the Dragon Ride on June 14th, Grand Fondo, so far with my big bad brother and the famous Ray C Shred.
