Started in Llandefaelog, Lower CHapel, Upper Chapel, over Epynt to Garth, only bit of A road (A483) to Beulah, turn off to Abergwesyn, head for 25% Devil's staircase through some wonderful scenic valleys, crawl over Devil's Staircase, then sweep donw on a wonderful descent, at v-crossing, turn left to Ystradffin, Rhandimyn, Llandovery, Mydffai, towards Llandeusant, but turn left onto the mountain road past Usk reservoir, turn right just before Trecastle, left at T-junction, left again, cross over A40 to Pentrefelin, Tralong, Aberbran, Aberyscir, Cradoc, T-junction with B4520, turn left and back to Llandefaelog...
We took one scenic detour on this route, to make another 10 kms or so...
BRILLIANT ride, views spectacular and LOTS of climbing.
So pleased to have done the Devil's Staircase now... Mind you, it was on the very edge of my capabilities, I only just managed to crawl up there, should not have been steeper or longer or I would not have made it! But so so incredibly beautiful HIGHLY recommended!
