Some good autumn riding going on here despite the weather!
Managed a solid 50 today, 2 good climbs and finishing with a climb of the Bwlch. Guess what, the rain worsened as we climbed so the descent to Treorchy was sodden and speeds in excess of 40mph a little 'heart in mouth' in those conditionsPlease don't tell Mrs T!!
Then a good stomp back down the valley, passing my favourite chippy on the way "A fish called Rhondda"
I will miss the club Tuesday ride but am fancying a briskish ride over to the infamous cafe at Otley if anyone would like to risk a sausage sandwich. 8am (ish) start via Barlick/Skipton/Embsay/Bolton Abbey/Ilkley - return via Ilkley/Silsden/Carlton/Lothersdale/Barrowford. 85 (ish) miles with slight undulations on the return and possibly wet according to the forecast. My legs will be rubberised from the Tuesday evening club road run so it will be on the cautious side of brisk. Err - setting off from Accy.
Wettest day so far (6:30am) for weeks + wind + floods=no bike ride
Lightweight.
I went off road on my cyclo cross for the third week running.
It's so much fun.
The best bit is not seeing any horrid cars.
not been on the bike for a bit now as my hip hasnt been very good
