After a few hours my ring finger had swelled up like an unpricked sausage under the grill and had turned a colour somewhere between purple and black. Not good I thought so tossed up between the tool shed and Accy Vic and ended up seeing a nice man with a technical saw in A&E followed by a lovely women in the X-Ray bit. All very efficiently completed in 40 minutes with nothing broken apart from the wedding ring (freedom!!!!).

Point of note - Conti Gator skins are neither thorn proof or grippy.

oh eck ady, not good mate
Right after getting inspiation from Vincent Densons book
I set off and got to Grantham and back today, very fast but I was exhausted and had to stop off at Evans cycles in Nottingham for a Cliff Bar , I think about 60miles in all but with that wid I was struggling. But it always takes me 4 /5 rides to get back into it.
Probably and 18 average I suppose.
Loads of bikes being sold in Evans I noticed.
Will the people buy them actually ride them. Not in this weather i doubt.
    Very cold today.

Not sure how ive managed it but after a couple of thousand miles I have not got one scratch on my rourke
Maybe its the quality of the paint job ?

I keep it in the house and never lean it on the frame
anyone who leans a bike on its frame should be shot

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

Well, it's only for a couple of miles each way, but I got round to it.

I dragged 'Jordan' out of the shed. She's a knackered old bike and been hacked about that much there's not much of the original left. But what you can't avoid noticing are a pair of SMART headlights....

Enjoyable, if uneventful ride in. Ride back was interrupted as I emerged from a side road, dead end for motorised transport, past a V posh hotel.

Me in my work clothes, black hoodie (hood up), combats and my buff over my nose.... at 1:00 in the morning

This was timed perfectly with Mr Plod driving past on his way for a cuppa....
