The dry sunny weather saw 23 riders head through the Lanes out to Longridge. A group of 15 or so peeled off to the A6 to do an 18 miles loop through and off whilst another group veered off at Garstang for a smaller through and off loop. I went straight to the cafe to avoid having my legs shredded and tired for the 1/2 tour. After a brief lunch I took a full carbon stead for a test ride with SRAM red and SRAM 60 wheels, around 3.5K's worth of kit - it was OK but nothing special. I came home through the Trough of Bowland which looked fantastically clear and bright today. Good moderate ride of around 70 miles.
I am not keen on carbon, but it looks like a carbon frame gets sneaked into my collection of Ti, steel and alloy bikes... this new bf is a cheeky bugger, he seems to be giving me his Dolan TT frame, as he has bought a P3

Waiting for a quote off Fat Birds Don't Fly for a Van Nicholas Astraeus with SRAM red. Much more sensibly priced than the Van Nicholas website although it aint gonna be cheap
Ohhhhhhh, I LOVE those Van Nicholas bikes...
Have a look at what I have got though:

I have the race won... you can get it with Sram red, no problems... It was recently reviewed in Cycling weekly even
And he is working on a cross bike for me now

Read something somewhere yesterday that PX are moving their Ti frame production from Lynskey (founders of Litespeed) to Van Nicholas.
