Oh and dont forget Hannek'es home race is Sunday. Amstel gold race
climbs of 23per cent over the 155miles. Lots of street furniture, parked cars, skips, windmills, corners, islands and everything else to get in the riders ways.
Oh and lovely Dutch ladies cheering on the riders.

Daz, how about rather than 40 miles...i do a 30 instead.

Id be very very slow doing a 40 unless i rode out towards the coast for the flat lands.

well yesterday evening's bike ride.... 2 hours on the single-speed mtb around and over Chinley Churn... cracking fun, excellent trail conditions and great to get out on the bike after a winter of almost 100% running.

Yes, I rode on that course, almost all of it, allbeit not in one go, and it is bloody hard going! Who said Holland was flat?

Looking forward to following it... alas I won't be able to be there...

EXCELLENT! Well done... you will be carving big chunks off to begin with, then it will get seconds and split seconds

After last nights TT efforts, this mornings attempt at pushing that lactate treshold up was pretty damn hard! But happy with the ride, as I can see where I am going

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

hello cyclists! - I appear to have accidently entered a charity sportive from sheffield of 100miles!

so far I have done some rides round the peak up to 4 hours (45miles, 5000) as a peak - averaging 30-35 miles long ride once a week (3000feet approx, 12-14mph).

i also ride 35minutes commute 4/5 work days.

i was guessing build up to 60-70miles long ride??

throw in a longer evening ride (or 2) now its lighter??

any tips on fitting cycling and running together?

i have been doing long ride saturday, then long steady run sunday.

    thanks.
