Is that the road that's on the Bala half IM course?? It's lovely along there, I like that course now it's an out and back - get to wave alot!

    How did it go?

Well, finally got round to picking the pink peril up yesterday from the bike shop after the wee service and gear cable fiddling!! Couldn't refuse to go out on it this morning despite being barred Nipped out for 50 miles, nice big loop on pretty quiet Lancashire lanes heading out to Croston, Rufford, Mawdesley way etc. Was on a time limit so had to peg it back, had 10 miles to do in not very much time at all.... ooo my poor little legs - jelly or what?! sheesh you can tell I haven't ridden the bike in MONTHS, came home flopped on the chair and promptly fell asleep for an hour!

Not sure what the average was for Daz's little black book as the bike shop took my computer off whilst servicing it and forgot to put it back on, so it's still in the shop! Suppose I'll have to go and do it again sometime then?!
thatl be 20mph then, nipped out for a 50

Well, good news to report. Clamped the Ridley into the turbo for the first time since my hospital sojourn and managed to get my leg over and spent 30 mins idling along on the patio. Good to be on the way back Not allowed out for a few more weeks though, bone healing required. Think I will fed up of the patio by May
Ooh, a picce to prove it....
Most excellent news Toff keep it steady and you will soon be back on the roads!

Well, I TT'd... and you can now put me down for 24 mph LOL!

Took over 6 minutes off my pb and am getting close to the hour now... 1.03.42... My aim this year was to go sub 1.05 for a 25 and sub 25 mins for a 10... well, the 25 aim will have to be reset to going under the hour

Got some prize money even, for second best improved rider

Err what about cleaning the bike???????

Spent an hour doing mine tonight, one of the damm pedals will not come out. I take them out every 3 months as well to grease them. Maybe I wasnt trying hard enough.
I might have to try a Time Trial one day. Not sure about those fancy bars mind

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

I just had time to fit in a short ride before tea tonight.

Headed straight for the country lanes for a quality 8.25 miles with some short sharp climbs - 27:23 mins. (and two big cattle grids where i had to get off)

Legs still trashed for Coledale on saturday but i loved it. I climbed the local hill no worries - which used to finish me off a couple of years ago.

I really really really love my bike!
