This may have been mentioned earlier, but did people see this

In my pitiful attempts to get back into cycling last year I went out on the local club run a couple of times when Hannah was present, she was getting ready to move to Belgium and was really looking forward to going, I hope she recovers ok.

I switched on the TV fully intending to watch the Giro but then I couldn't bring myself to watch it. I kept thinking who is doped, who is not doped? In the end I switched it off. Never done that before. I think it's a defining moment in my TV viewing career.

25 miles, 1,700'. Most of that seems to be in two bits of the route!

35miles, climb, climb, climb. Cols Roc Blanche and Blaenlechau nailed in reasonable order!

    or here????

I'd given up on Garmin during the mess they created when they switched from to Garmin Connect. Looking at yours it looks like they've got their act together. The first one is an export from SportTracks software to my own website.

The ongoing battle with all of this stuff is that the ascent / descent is completely random. The 1700' quoted above is based on importing into digital OS maps (Tracklogs). Garmin quotes 1295', Sport tracks quotes 1'124 - or 1044 'corrected'. I'm inclined to believe the OS reading.

i like your detour up to wern y cum!

bikehike gives your route 1500feet (swings and round abouts :-) )

Navigational fauxpax! Checked the route on Google maps before setting off, but it's missing loads of side roads off the B4521. Headed up and then came to a dead end...

    Re: Todays Bike Ride

i would have believed you if you said you were doing the extra climb on purpose - i met some guys today doing reps on winnats??!1?

always better to go wrong up hill then the correction is down hill.

unlike my navigational error today when i rode past the aston turning and had to ride back up to it
