Point taken Daz, but it was only a walk
Track tonight! Track tomorrow morning, then a crit in the evening... A women's only one... I need the points on my licence as I want to race those Halfords series races and I have to be 2nd cat for that, so need to quickly accumulate another 2 points to become 3rd cat, then 40 to become 2nd cat

good luck with the crit hann!
how does all the points scoring work?? when is the halford series?
60 wet miles with 3 other wet riders! Glad I forced myself out in the rain though, once you're wet it doesn't really matter.
spent the day feeling rough and sorry for myself., will force myself out on club run later
Listen to your body Anty! You may find rest is the better option...
Ratfink, the points thing is really rather un-intelligible... But when you place yourself, depending in what category race it is, you get points according to nplacing. You need 10 to go from 4th cat, the way we all start, to 3rd cat, then 40 while being a 3rd cat to get to 2nd cat... After that, you need to get silly points to get to higher categories...
The races I do a win typically attracts 10 or 15 points, then diminishing down to 10th place 1 point...

Hmmmmm...
Derny paces session on the track last night, VERY boring, only endurance based, so won't be going back there again. Bit disappointing really
My usual Wednesday morning session done and dusted... legs feeling like jelly mixed with concrete... That will be interesting for the crit I am riding tonight!

Just done my longest of 2010. New bike went well, tried to find some flatter roads. Managed 38 mile with an Av of 15mph.
I thought that was not very good until I down loaded the Garmin to discover the flattesh ride had 2200 feet of climb.
Legs are tired now so maybe a rest or light jog tomorrow bike again Friday and Sunday (with my good mate MerryL)
got off the train a stop early and did 40 miles round the peak 3600 feet, 3 hours average speed 13mph (15.6mph ave moving speed according to garmin gizmo) - lovely evening coming back by bamford and stanage. raced some boys back to ringinglow
