65 miles earlier into the very windy peak district. Beeley moor was unreal heading back. Then a nice spin session before riding home for a bath.Hard session
65 miles and THEN a spin session!!? Lorks ...
I agree Zoot, that is a bit much!
I went out for a couple of hours on the road last night, in the fading light, with my new exposure headlight and very bright 5 led rear light. Cars passed wide And seemed quite confused as to what I was approaching from the front... Pity mots of them didn't dip their headlights, so I was half blind all the time...
Very windy so a hard ride. Good newws was legs were aching, so either Wednesdays session was a good one and/or at last I am able to push the lungd hard enough to make the legs ache again
This afternoon I am off, so do I go for a 3 hour road ride, a 3 hour off road ride or do I go to the velodrome for 3 hours???? The sun is shining, it is still windy, I didn't enjoy the velodrome session much 2 weeks ago...
Road means I don't have to clean a muddy bike for the 4th time this week... hmmmm...

Yes maybe a lot
It was actually 65miles then the warm up part of spin which for me is 20 mins standing climb, then the spin session then a ride home.
I try and do that on no food and water which okay again many say Is not good but it learns you to dig deep.
Its surprising how you can draw on that in a long fell race or a long ride in the future.
Its certainly not excessive though.
You can hydrate by wiping the sweat off your cycling cap and drinking that. ( thats not a joke).
It was all worth it just to see the sun going down over Beeley Moor.
christ mate, that's hardcore
I do often try and lick the encrusted salt from around my lips, Voeckler-stylee
but there's no sodding way I'm riding 65 miles without water - could just about countenance it without food, if I'd had a bloody massive breakfast, but even then ...
chapeau!
I rode 60ish miles today... on one banana and one bottle of water... That is pretty hardcore for me
Daz is the forum's own hardman of cycling

That's what they put in Red Bull then.
