    Re: Todays Bike Ride

Ride number three on new bike (other than to work) and I quite liked the look of a recent sportive route from Dentdale. I opted for the shorter of the two routes which was just over 50 mile and 1150m of climbing. Discovered two things really 1) Cycling 50 hilly miles is hard work 2) the western Dales are absolutely stunning.

As a result (not being a hitherto regular at this lark) I am absolutely knackered but loved every minute:thumbup:

Only just spotted this but good effort, it's a fun course and a great event isn't it.

Dan from the Niner crew used to come on our Thursday night rides before he went off to Uni... so I know from chasing him round the Mendips he's a fast lad :w00t:

Speaking of which, it's Thursday today and the forecast for tonight is torrential. Hmmm. Dose of MTFU and stand by for a soaking...

Hann I meant to ask you how your shoulder (collar bone) has been?

Three peaks cyclocross training for me involves carrying a baby up big hills - by september she should weigh as much as the bike :-)

also fitted in this 40 miler a few times while i was down in cornwall http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/...ther_multiline

and this cheeky cyclocross route in the peak
