Ride number three on new bike (other than to work) and I quite liked the look of a recent sportive route from Dentdale. I opted for the shorter of the two routes which was just over 50 mile and 1150m of climbing. Discovered two things really 1) Cycling 50 hilly miles is hard work 2) the western Dales are absolutely stunning.
As a result (not being a hitherto regular at this lark) I am absolutely knackered but loved every minute:thumbup:

Three peaks cyclocross training for me involves carrying a baby up big hills - by september she should weigh as much as the bike :-)

totally lost motivation - not been out on bike or spinning for a month at least - though two weeks of that I was on hols admittedly ....

125km from s.London out into Kent and back @ 28.6 kph
Back on track!
