Today's Bike Ride

140km club ride out to Ashdown forest in Kent and back in glorious autumn sunshine, at av speed of 28.5kph.
Feel a bit tired.

Not a bike ride but West Pennine Cycling Club Annual Dinner on Saturday, the 82nd edition. Special guest was the fabulous Joanna Rowsell and managed to hold her medal :w00t:

No proper riding this weekend, but managed 40minutes at the BMX track this afternoon so feeling good for the week ahead.

By eck that was tough coming home.

18 mile 1500' head wind, drizzle, tired legs and starting to get dark.

Rollers and turbo don't appear to have the same hills as the roads round here. Managed to keep the cadence up this morning but in the afternoon it was a case of survival.

Goal is to attempt 50 times to work in 2012

That would be 1800 miles and a great step towards fitness and weight loss down to mid 11 stone.

GOAL ACHIEVED
50th Ride today out of a possible 174 available days.
Just over 1800 miles and 125000ft of ascent.
Weight bouncing just under 12st so mostly positive.
Only 2 punctures and a lot of fitness and enjoyment.
Thanks to the 99% motorist who were kind to me.

I just followed an old friends wise words and spent 2 hours cleaning, oiling and re-greasing.
The summer bike has now been retired until there is no salt on the roads.
Out with the winter bike.

Old friend, not old person.

No bike stand and a bloody mess in the kitchen + minus 1 tooth brush (got to be keen) Gunner get it when she comes home.

Bike spotlless and as an old lass on here once said GT85 not wd40.

Dry silicon lube and copper grease for bearings.

I help you with running and you help and bike maintainence.

Pleased with my effort and just having a cider or 3 to celebrate.
