Today's Bike Ride

I've often wondered how it seems the lighter (and thereby more expensive) bike someone has, means the heavier (and thereby tougher) lock that's needed. If so, is there some sweet spot in the bike vs lock weight ratio?

I too get frequently locked out of the forum, often mid way through a post. My personal record is having to log on nine times to make one post. Looking on the bright side, however, this does mean I sometimes give up, which probably means there is less cycling chat than there would have been

PS I am a surgically retired, (for life), ex-fell runner

I also often log in, draft a post and then, at the point I actually try and post it, find I'm logged out and have to log in again . Also sometimes little edits to posts get an error message that I've used insufficient digits or something or other. I also mostly log in using my phone and, having posted something, find for some reason (something to do with use of apostrophes coupled with mobile phone use I think) I have a bunch of capital Â's with funny hats on that I have to go back and edit out.

Life's difficult enough without all of these hurdles

As for running I'm trying like 'flipping flip' to get back running but my right knee is not yet playing ball...

The Wolfpack messed up their finish which was even more surprising as Bora made a complete pigs ear of theirs.

I initially thought that Sam Bennett was leading out Cavendish, who couldn't quite get there, and then left himself too much to do to overhaul Philipsen of Alpecin-Fenix.

I have also been watching the Basque Tour with has been great so far.

I think that stage races are more exciting to watch than they have been for a long time. Mainly due to riders such as Pogacar, Roglic, Alaphillipe, Sagan, van de Poel and van Oert who are all happy to "race" rather that sit behind their mates all day!

One day races as well - as we saw in the Tour Of Flanders. Who would have thought?
