You could always try the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning

The Grand Slam of Ultrarunning award is recognition for those who complete four of the oldest 100 mile trail runs in the U.S. The "Slam" consists of officially finishing the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run, the Vermont 100 Mile Endurance Run, the Leadville Trail 100 Mile Run and the Wasatch Front 100 Mile Endurance Run all in the same year.

Congratulations. I will add it to the http://gofar.org.uk site (Big 3 records/achievments) later in the year. Does anyone know if they have been done inside 12 months before, apart from the Belton/Diamantides 3 in a season? Thanks.

And if I remember rightly (I will stand corrected if wrong) Martin Greaves was the first Brit to achieve it. Martin ('Mental Martin', as we knew him)was a member of our little village running club, but at the time none of us appreciated his achievments.

For info, Martin still walks with ldwa, and I think has the second most 100 completions - or thereabouts.
Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.

Thanks all for your congrats and suggestions for further ultra challenges. I won't mention the latter to my wife for a little while yet.... probably a year or two just to be safe!
    Cheers, Digby
