    Running in Australia

I'm going in Nov/Dec for the rugby League World. Anyone any experience of mountain or trail runs oy there ?
I've found a couple of road runs I can do in Brisbane and Darwin, I'm gonna be around Sydney too, do they do anything up in the Blue Mountains?

Not much on in Nov/Dec, but the Coolrunnning calendar is the most comprehensive.

Kembla Joggers (in Wollongong 1 hour south of Sydney) have a low-key Mountain Running Series. Nothing much in the Blue Mountains around then. There's a good mountain running scene in Canberra including the Deep Space Mountain Marathon on 23rd Nov.

If you're here for New Year's Day there's a great informal hangover race in the North of Sydney called Beyond the Black Stump. Self supported 33km mostly off-road bush.

The Sydney Striders are always happy for visitors to join us for our Sunday club runs. Mail me for more info.

Thanks guys. Fats,I won't be in Sydney on any Sundays but I'll have a look at their training calendar and see if I can make any week night runs.
