    Off road around Paris??

Just a quiz question for all you well travelled forumites:-
I have a training partner who is off to Paris (work related) and wants to run whilst there.
A hotel with a gym/treadmill is one answer, but are there other possibilities??
Bois de Boulongne (not sure of spelling here!) seems nice on the map, but I'll pass on any info/experience/ideas you have to offer!
    Thanks.
PS if no one responds, my mate Dave will just think that I imagine that the forum exists and that I pretend it is really useful....whilst wasting time when I should be studying++.
    He may be right!?

There's the Bois de Vincennes too, with a GR footpath going through it.

To the west, apart from the bois de Boulogne, there's the parc de St-Cloud (start at Pont de Sèvres or Pont de St-Cloud : metro 9 and 10) which is pretty hilly by Parisian standards. It leads onto the forêt de Fausses-Reposes.

A bit further west, there's the forêt de St-Germain-en Laye (RER B St Germain) and the forêt de Marly (at the end of the St-Lazare - La Défense - St Nom la Bretêche line). The station is in the forest.

There's also the Parc de Versailles from RER C Versailles RG-Château.

And even farther out, the forêt de Rambouillet with loads of paths to run on.

Probably a bit vague but there's paths round the forest in fontainebleau just to the south of Paris, not entirely sure about any detail, we just used to climb there.

Thanks ++ to Graeme and FITC! What a response.....my loitering around here is really worthwhile.
I shall inform my mate Dave of his route choices (if he shows at Pilates tonight)........he's bound to be impressed.
    Thanks again.
