No Martin. They could be avoided.....at my speed!
But the bracken and nettles were almost impenetrable at times.

Where is Stewart Granger with his machete when you need him?

If I see a guy with a machete peering over some ferns on the day, i'll probably be willing to run quite fast!

Was out last night - a glorious evening, the hills purple and yellow with heather and gorse. Curiously much of the bracken is starting to turn brown which is a bit earlier than usual so much of it might be gone by October. Also the nettles here promptly lose their sting at the end of September every year.

I'm doing the Tavern Trial Race on Saturday and then staying over for a relay recce on Sunday.
If anyone fancies doing legs 1 & 4 I'll be starting from the Golden Lion, Llangynhafal 10am Sunday morning.

Altrincham will be at the Golden Lion tomorrow for a 10am start.
Probably doing leg B if anyone wants to join us.
Bracken should be well trampled. Skipton have been there today!

Thanks to whoever has trampled all the bracken down. It's no problem now!

Didn't see you this morning but there was an early start for a group of 4 - dashing past our place at 9 am. I suspect Warrington but I may be wrong - they had these big bracken crushing fellshoes on!

We started at 10am from the Golden Lion, 8 of us. Tackled the show jumping course behind the pub on the way to the start and we did wave as we passed your house. Enjoyed leg B and it didn't seem to put anyone off so I'm hopeful we can put three times out this year. Last year it collapsed to one team!
I think the wonderful meal we had at the Golden Lion after the run might have swung it!
