Tonights PC problems

Can anyone help?

I'm making a mix-tape (very retro-spective from the ghetto, I know), well a CD, and I can't get the damn thing to work.

I'm formatting a CD-R using Sonic DLA. It then has a name and tells me how much capacity is left (626MB out of 702MB even though I've put no data on there).

In Media Player, I'm then adding the playlist I want on the CD to the Burn list, but it's not recognising that there is a formatted disk in. It keeps asking for me to insert a blank CD...but it's got the one I've just formatted!!

What do I do?

Same problem in that it doesn't recognise the CD.

Just imported the library into iTunes and looks like it will work - cheers Dom.

Is there any reason why it won't fit, given the disks are 700MB (My Computer is showing free space as 626MB) and iTunes is saying the playlist is only 171.3MB?

I've just gone to burn the playlist to disc and it's warned the playlist is bigger than the free disk space and it will need to be split over several CDs?

Hang on... How many tracks??? The size of the MP3 files is significantly lower than the size when burned as an audio CD. 720Mb = 70 mins (roughly)

In iTunes you don't need to format the CD or anything, just stick it in and burn it!

Ah. 45 songs coming in at nearly three hours. That'll explain it then!

Well, will just have to use more than one CD.
