Apologies if someone has already asked this:-
Sports drinks (incl powder version) contain electrolytes AND energy.
Nuun contain only electroltes.
So why use Nuun instead of sports drink (or powder version) ?

Biriani for endurance, pathia for speed.
I personally prefer to get my energy from solid food - the liquid carbs tend to give me the trots - (no I mean the trots ).
Entryists.
Hadn't heard of nuun until last week when I got some free with some winter running trousers I bought - http://www.themds.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=1145 - but tried them over the weekend and thought they were superb. Was sceptical at first, but the taste was really good. Have only tried the tri-berry and the Kona Kola ones so far, but have orange ones and limes ones to try shortly.
I see someone rates them for hangovers - with a stag weekend coming up, might come in very useful.
You can get electrolyte tablets for far far less money than nuun. 180 tablets (1 tablet 'hydrates' 500ml water as far as I know) for £5.99 here: http://www.myprotein.co.uk/capsules-...trolytes-plus/ (if anyone wants a 5%-off-first-order referrer code then let me know). They don't dissolve and don't taste nice, but at a fraction of the price of nuun I'm not too concerned.
Fine but don't underestimate the advantage of something that does taste nice - personally I often forget to get enough liquid so it helps. Ribena is good but doesn't seem as refreshing or as thirst quenching as nuuns. Might try them out going over Bleaklow with Grouse and Manhar tomorrow.
I'm gonna get that cwazy gwouse...
Hang on a minute -don't dissolve? How do they work then?
I'm gonna get that cwazy gwouse...
