If you were there, when you handed in the remaining mush of your number (or told them what you thought your number was), what do they do with the results? Are they posted anywhere?

I've got a PDF of the results, but the file is a smidge too big to attach here. PM me your email address if you want a copy.

Looking at the weather here right now, looks like you might be needing the kit your wearing in your avatar Simon.

I guess road shoes would be a bad idea tonight then?

    Bring your flippers!

The web cam at the link below show the weather in Grindleford, which is a few miles up the Hope Valley

It's been a bit better today, but last night it chucked it down! Burbage Brook was high, brown and frothy this morning when I crossed it near Grindleford Station on the way to work.

It's a fast little race, but a great location for the finish, and what nice people, particularly the kind lady who allowed the runners to use her toilets.

So who was it that arrived from Sheffield by bike after the start, thinking the off was at 7:30? How many runners did you overtake?

Yes agree. A lovely setting and fantastic views of Chatsworth as we ran down past the river. A very very fast start and it didnt really settle down until the first climb.
Was chased most of the way by Ron Fawcett( legend)

I agree, lovely route with Chatsworth in sight for a lot of it. More cross country than all out fell racing but good race all the same, though too fast for my current fitness levels! Would definitely make a gentle introduction to someone who wanted to give fell racing a go for the first time.

The cattle seemed to enjoy their run too, charging over the route in front and behind me

Was that you just in front of me when the cattle charged (Holme Pierrepont colours?)? If so, I eventually managed to wheeze past you on the climb just before the golf course.

P.S. I think I recognise you from your avatar!
