I'm after a better night's sleep at the OMM this year. The bit of insulation in the OMM sac really doesn't do it for me. Anyone tried a ballon bed? What did you think?

Been happy with balloonbed. tiny, light and comfortable. had one or two balloons deflate overnight. can be a bit fiddly to tie the knots on the balloons. would recommend it though
First run then beer. If no run then proceed directly to beer.
I quite like them. Had one or two balloons go down too, but slept well. I think for the weight they are better than anything else I've seen.
I'm a big fan - just don't overinflate the balloons and they work well.
Slight typo in the link above.

Bizarre idea, I'll definitely give this a try.
I've used a balloon bed for the Polaris a few times and it's been great. Initially I was sceptical and tried it out on the living room floor. I do try to be really careful with it but I must admit I've had no problems.
Let's face it what is there to do at the overnight camp? If it doesn't work you could always spend the night making a giraffe with the spare balloons. I bet those 'Fell Ponies' could rustle up a four legged friend or two?

Thanks all for the useful feedback. I'll get my order in in time for the RAB.
