    Summer 08

To say this summer has been a let down is somewhat of an understatement.I can't remember the last time i have had to put the heating on in August. So it was to my suprise whilst scanning the Met office homepage, that we have had the warmest August for 5 years !!
Is it just where i live in Shropshire that has had a terrible wet and cool August or has everyone had it crap !?

With my meteorological head on I'd say it was only rated a warmer than normal month because the nights have been warmer than normal. Haven't had many hot days up in the North East either but although it's rained a bit most days it hasn't been too wet

I live in Pendle's shadow and it has rained at some point every day in August except 30 Aug. Local races have been very boggggy!

Its rained up here most days for the last several weeks. Incredibly though, it didnt spill a drop for at least 24 hours last weekend whilst Turnip99 was doing his BGR. Warm though.
