    watch out for the for the return section by the canal its probably where danbert will get flogged into the ground by a real runner

    Just got back from doing the race. It was well marshalled and flagged. I do not know how the lead runner took a wrong turn unless a marshal was not in place in time.

    Looks like quite a battle between Danbert and the Conman.

    Interesting that the first 4 places were all vets.
    Biriani for endurance, pathia for speed.

    I would have liked to have seen that dip for the line! Stainers is certainly coming back strong, he must have ran well to beat DB.

    danbert did well considering his reacent injury problems, we were having such a nice chin wag across the river..

    DB wasn't the issue, Stainers beat the fat bloke himself (after 8 years of trying). Still, now it's mono et mono at the National XC for the Rochdale Gnome!

    I Believe the leader at 6 miles (when I last saw him), who had a substantial lead, got lost, and ended up 2nd. I'm not sure how he went wrong, as the route was very well marked and marshalled, and not even I went wrong.
