Well done Bill, sounds like you had your 'bad patch' that we talked about on leg 4 but I knew you'd do it
Was a pleasure to spend time with you.
Cheers,Ali
PS wonder if those 3 blokes have found Scafell Pike yet? Hee hee....
Well done Bill. You certainly deserved to complete it after all the help you've given others and the training you've done.
Well done Bill! You deserved the success and thanks for a great excuse to spend 24 hours 'playing out' in the Lakes. In 25 years of supporting BG's, that was the best conditions I've ever experienced for leg 5 at night. The reflection of the moon off Littledale Reservoir was awesome! As usual, with Wynnie catering, I ran my legs off and went home heavier than before!
Well done Bill! I always find it encouraging when folks from a non-athletics /climbing/walking/'outdoorsy' background get round ;-)
My apologies again Bill for not getting to Blencathra in time to do the special descent with you. Halls Fell was greasy and slow. On the way down I even manage to lose the ridge line for a short distance, the clag was that thick.
We all had a great 24 hours running and socialising. Well done.

It was great to return at least 1 of your favors Bill, and what a magical night to be out on the hills. Well done, you dug in really well, especially on leg 5; great stuff; you really deserved it.
It was a pleasure to be out on such a cracking night with that moon - digging in on Leg 5 and putting up with the incessant 'banter' showed true grit!Your run in to the Moot Hall with the posse was the icing on the cake -that is if Ian hasn't eaten it!! Well done mate.
I'm not a number I'm a free man
Great effort Bill, well done.
I was thinking about what a cracking day you must have been having as I blundered around the 3 Shires.
