I hope the organisers let us know how the 'estimated times' compare to the 'actual times'. It could be an exercise in hubris.

I went and recce'd the route on sunday. Jesus that's a toughie, I'm still feeling fragile just from the recce! Looking forward to it though
i added 45 minutes to my estimated time after my recce a couple of weeks back. Keep thinking i might need to add a bit more to it as well!
If we're estimating times for Ennerdale, can I enter as a DNF, and save myself the petrol money?
As part of this years entry, due to possibility of grouped starts, you have to submit an estimated time. Which was an interesting exercise!
After my last attempt at 7hrs+ due to losing a shoe half way round, i plumped for a rather ambitious 5hrs30. I fully believe it is doable, but may eat my words on here in a few weeks!!
Yeah I've gone for 5:30 too as a bit of a finger in the air estimation. Doable but will have to be one of those runs where nothing goes wrong I think.
I'm not owning up to mine beforehand, but it's definitely on the optimistic side!
I'm going in early with the "it's only a Bob graham training run" excuse
I'll hold the "well i ran Duddon last week..." excuse back in case of emergency.
I know of men estimating 3.10 and women estimating 3.45. There could be egg on face across the board.
I went for the time I ran in a champs year Wasdale but hoping to be a a bit quicker. Also hoping people come crawling back to me over the last half!
