    Sleeping bags and mats

so, there's a wide range available for MM events, and i know the prices are somewhat shocking. But, can i have some advice on the preferred make for MM, there's just too many for me to make decisions.
    Thanks

As far as mats are concerned, I use an old one cut up so that it fits as a cylinder inside my ruc sacso about 70cm by 40cm -just large enough to get shoulders and hips on. Comfy enough - I have even used it on extended backpacking trips, and doesn't take too much space in the sac.
I'm gonna get that cwazy gwouse...

I treated myself to one of the PHD Minim down bags earlier in the year and have got a lot of use out of it.

When we did the Saunders I just used an Alpkit 3/4 mat but next time round I'm tempted to cut down a foam mat or look at the balloon beds

Depends what your bank balance is like?

I have a vango Ultralite synthetic bag. They weigh 800g and can be picked up for around £45. Not the warmest of bags but I sleep in all my clothes and tend to be fine.

It did me proud last OMM where I was sleeping in a puddle. I was still reasonably warm despite the puddle and got a reasonable nights sleep.

If money was no object I would go with a radsy bag as it can be turned into a down vest until its ready for bedtime, you then turn it back into a sleeping bag.

For a mat I have traditionally used the 3/4 OMM rest that comes with the bag. I am not using an OMM sack this year and am only using a 20l bag so I am trying a balloon bed. Weighs less, less bulky and meant to be comfier?
