Looked at having a go last year with a lot less notice.

I think I can get my 4 in ok.

Was already planning Highland Fling anyway.

Wye ultra, Marlborough Downs and D&P would be my easiest logistically I think. Only High Peak 40 clashes with anything.

A lot will depend on how Rotherham goes, as to how serious a crack I have at this.

    Excellent!

Can't see any reason why I couldn't manage 4 - the early part of the year is a bit of a problem, taken up with training for some little road race down in London in April, then a Joss Naylor Challenge with a mate in May and West Highland Way in June...

So Wye Ultra, Osmotherly Phoenix, Lakeland 100/50 and Lond Mynd look favorite for me, might be able to fit in Wuthering Hike, Pumlumon and High Peak 40 (though only a week after the Lakeland, no chance if I do the 100!)

Question is, going on this years prices, can I justify the Lakeland entry fee having already shelled out for WHW?

Suprised the Fling is a long, it's 53 miles and very runnable. What's the record? sub 7 hrs? or not far over 7. For an ultra I wouldn't class that as long.

Anyway may try and get a few of the shorter ones done. Still teeing up whether to run in the fling now I've dropped out of the WHW due to a fixture clash with the British Champs Tebay race..tempted for the 3 peaks instead (normally same weekend I think).

I've not done either but I can't see Highland Fling being much different in difficulty to the Long Mynd which is in as a long again this year. I'm presuming 50 miles is point at which something becomes long for this series.

Registered for the 2009 Vasque Series, first time doing the Series....Wuthering, Calderdale, FellsMan and Lakes 50 (entered) pencilled in so far...Looking forward to it

Wuthering, Calderdale and Fellsman entries for 09 don't seem to be open yet, anyone know when entries open for those events?

I thought it was a lot later in the year than that.

    On edit - May 9th.

I was talking about when it opens for entries. The race itself is always the first weekend in May.
