Cheap Turkey

Hello

Is anyone taking advantage of the masses of Bernard Mathews turkey that is being sold cheap at the supoermarkets. Great source of protein at half the price.

Or am I asking for trouble eating that stuff

Well, I'm a veggie too but if I weren't, I'd have no worries with eating 'em.

Only I think I'd err on the overcooked side just to be safe. Flu virus is killed by heat - I think* - and besides, the ones in the shops won't have H5N1 - I think **



* & ** just in case I get sued by someone who contracts it by eating cooked turkey

I'd be more worried about the antibiotics and all the other crap they've been fed than H5N1.

Never have liked B Mathews methods and therefore never bought his produce,
But i am more than happy to eat turkey and poultry from other sources.

Likewise i eat only free range eggs

Battery farming should be outlawed
