Mountain man and myself will be embarking on a trot of Yorks three peaks on Saturday 25th october. Steady pace with some walking here and there if need be, so not looking at record times. Time to be confirmed, would anyone like to join us?

Hi Darth, I won't be up for this one, but let me know when you're
going up again. I'm just coming back from injury now and will need
a good long one before the race next year, 3rd time lucky I hope!
Sounds good, wish I could make it. Out of curiosity when can we register for next years event?
I think last year you could enter in Novemeber and it was full a few hours later. I suppose it'll be different this year though.
if anyone is up for it, meeting at Hill inn, 8.30am sharp, than quick cuppa at horton cafe before embarking on the rest of it

well, what a weekend, glad all from the MM were safe Mountain rescue deserve a medal!
Saturday was a challenge to say the least, the 24 miles of the three peaks is bad enough, but with the energy sapping weather, it was wild. We started a little differently, parking up by the Hill inn and doin ingle first to PYG. Weather was quite ok there until setting off up to PYG. Hard slog from there to ribblehead, nice boggy areas. I was fit to collapse with cold and exhaustion up to whernie, Mountain man was way ahead of me, (Tony, you're not human), Coming down whernie, there was water just sprouting up from the ground in mini fountains, rain was like bullets, wind was crap.
Oh by the way, its 30pence to roast nuts on the fire in the station inn, how tempting is that.
Tony and myself are going for another running adventure soon (7th 8th november) and probably staying at the bunkhouse at station inn, i'll do a post to confirm should anyone else be interested.

We'll make an OMMer of you before you know it Darth! Uphill waterfalls are a regular occurence in this wonderful world of ours.
Keep him on the straight and narrow MM.
Did an hour and a half on Ilkley Moor Sunday and the bogs were plentiful and deep. Glad you made it across from PyG to Ribblehead without total immersion!
