I have a proper (and i mean proper) fear of blood sucking creatures, i cant even look at a pic of one (although a vampire bat is slightly tolerable)!
I'm curious, has anyone ever had a problem with a sheep tick lodging itself to you? I don't do shorts while on the fells ,mainly due to this.
One of those little b-stards attached itself to my old dog once, i wouldn't let the dog come near me till the vet had got it off

Dave gets them all the time, got a special little tool for getting rid of them now - saved a fortune in vets bills.

nah, i just can't go bare legged or i'd freeze with shock if one was on me, i'm actually shuderring at the thought!!
Well, at least you all know why i dont wear shorts, combined with the fact i have anaemic looking chicken legs

I get quite a few.
Even with tracksters on the little buggers still manage to get me round the top of my socks!
You will get one sooner or later if you run through any bracken in the Lakes. Best to do a thorough check at the end of your run and find the little sods before they have burrowed into the skin.
i can't even look at one, let alone try to brush it off!! i'm wrapping my legs in cling film before putting me trakkies on!
But these little guys are so cute
