    Saltergate Gallows

I did this excellent race today and now know why it's called "Gallows"
When I copied the route out onto Memory Map it seems I've done quite a lot more than it says on the tin:
Map given out a start(and much appreciated) Distance: 8.5 miles; Climb: 975'
Calendar: Distance: 8 miles; Climb: 1200'
Memory Map: 8.98 miles (ie 9 miles); Climb: 1435'
Anybody else notice that it was ball grindingly harder than advertised?
Did 8.6 miles and 2500' in the Wolds yesterday no comparison to this.
I'll be back next year by the way.
