...you should be running!!
Lots of potential for injury, lots of mud, and if you do the winter, lots of potential for hypothermia. Don't hold back for the running part at the beginning too much, I did and wished I hadn't so as not to tire myself out for the killing fields. Better to take advantage of your running ability I think. Might be worth getting some upper body strength and flexibility for that bit too. Enjoy.
Done both the summer and winter events for the last few years. Bad knee so had to watch this years event. Good run out with plenty of hill reps sorts out the real runners. The killing fields are as hard as you make them. A little expensive to enter but loads of fun!Originally Posted by BrooownAle

one of my mates who used to be a fell runner has done it, he enjoyed it. Saw there was a local lad who just did it in the paper.

From what I heard from a few others who went on it and they didnt really enjoy it at all, and I was advised to stick to fell running proper. So I'd agree with Mad&Jerry -there's better stuff out there.
Yes, it looks like another event for those with more money than sense.

Did the event once. It's good for a laugh, although I ended up with a bout of the sh!*s after contracting cryptosporidium!
