No idea, not been round that area for ages, anywhere with an open door, Guinness and a welcoming host, and not called the Slaughtered Lamb
    I'm allergic to werewolves
There's a path off the road just above the campsite up to Old Man, once we're up there it's plain sailing, can go round the Coniston route or over to 3 shires stone at Wrynose Pass. We'll make it up as we go along

Sounds like you two 'll have a good training run, wish I could get up to that neck 'o the woods more often.
Last year I did the Coniston Country Fair Fell Race, very enjoyable but tough, with my level of training I struggled a bit, especially coming down. It was the shortest Fell Race I'd done but was pretty much up and down the Old Man so my legs were battered on the descent.
Wish I could train in the Lakes more often but its a bit of a trek from Hull, where basically its as flat as a fart.
Anyway, ave a good un lads.
