Only for Ray Mears...
Sugar Puff's in a plastic freezer/food bag add a spoonful of dry milk, then all you need to do on Sunday is add water shake and you have brakefast, the whole thing is light to carry, full of caloies and when you have finnished you have an empty bag that weighs nothing

Me and Helen did the Saunders in early July, a slightly warmer time of the year but we had torrential rain for the whole weekend. The most important thing is to keep your kit dry and have enough food and water.
The bags for the feet are essential, everyone wears them. Make sure you put all your kit in a bin liner before you put it in your ruck sack, that way everything will stay dry. Take plenty of high calorie foods, we had dried porridge and tuna pasta rubbish but it did the trick. Plan each meal and then take a little extra for emergencies. You may need to eat whilst running so again something that you find easy to get down.
There'll always be something you'll forget but when you do your next one you'll be much wiser.
Above all, have a brilliant time, it's a real adventure.
