    Interesting route indeed.....when it's misty round there its easy to go wrong. I'm familiar with all those places with the exception of Cloughfold...i'm sure its on a map though.

    the original race was stopped after Cribden End farm changed hands, the replacement to it was 12/13 ml but fell by the wayside when nobody wanted to organize it.
    Another race in the 1970 results is Musbury Tor again won by D.Cannon in 8.21 ( 8mins 21 secs),I ran this in the 90s when it was called Tor Mile ,starting near the Airtours building in Helmshore. This fell by the wayside because of access problems with the farmer.

    Cloughfold is where the Winbury Naze dash starts ( k Steels ).

    You forgot to mention 2 laps of the brand spanking new track to start.At least that was for the first race in 1970.

    Did Three Towers many times.
    Also did Musbury Tor when it was a relay - great event that was.

    Musbury Tor run as a relay must have been a great burnup!!!!!!!!!!
