By far my best run over the hols was up Helvellyn and St Sunday Crag on Christmas Eve.
Fantastic cloud inversion. Pics here:

I then did 6 races before coming back to work:
26-Dec, Pica 4.7 miler road race (Cumberland AC)
27-Dec, Wansfell, Ambleside
30-Dec, 3-mile Christmas Handicap
31-Dec, Cambuslang 10k
01-Jan, Portobello Prom 4-miler in Edinburgh
02-Jan, Greenmantle Dash in the Scottish Borders
Not my tent! But looked an awesome place to camp!
I haven't seen many hills recently, but it is nice and warm over here!
Place is full of Americans but they aren't all overweight. I had to leave the Wolfhound with a friend in Birmingham, but I had to get another dog - a Jack Russell- he is rubbish. I am thinking of standing in the local election, but I don't know what the rules are concerning newcomers and being elected.
Republican all the way.
The beer trail is a navigational course, when you get to the start control (and find it) the peg will have the grid reference and description of the next control, after about nine controls the route splits into a short or long course. On completion the last control directs you to a stash of beer (Bodingtons this year) and you log in your effort to the organiser. This course has been a good frustrating test - lots not yet completing it! There is also a chocolate trail in the eastern lakes - not surprisingly most people seem to whizz round that one!
A circular route mostly downhill
Walked the 3 Peaks on 30th December. Just got to the top of P-Y-G as the sun was rising over Fountain fell. To Ribblehead OK but very heavy rain from then to the finish and it was snowing on top of Ingleborough
9 hours including stops
