    I tried on the Mountain Hardware one - very bulky looking/feeling and heavy for a down vest - I also hate the logo! Rab Neutrino is 350g and looks to have similar bulk. Patagonia or PHD Ultra - why not get one of each Ian?

    I can only afford one, as I've bought all my female friends an IPOD plug in toy

    Any one tried the Vasque?

    I have used neutrino for evening camp on MM and it works well, not much bulk and you can squash air out well...also does for pillow when packed into it's pocket! After a year it feels a bit thin!

    Patagonia....V.excellent - I have a lot of there gear and it wears v well -

    PHD - use their sleeping bags and other stuff- good choice of down. Local too so you can get into the factory!
