What shall I give up for Lent?

Ok, so pancake day is coming up and as a nice Catholic boy I should be thinking about some self-denial (or was that self abuse, I always got those too mixed up).

What should I give up for Lent?

As another 'nice' Catholic boy who used to have to give up sweets or crisps etc. (and put the money I would have spent on them into the poor charity, which is what the whole point of it was!) - I gave up something for Lent when I was 12 which I KNEW I could manage right through until Easter, not only then in 1980, but forever afterwards...
