What I find really weird (ie: pain in the arse) is that it takes me far longer than 3 weeks to get anything like back to normal.
You either get badly lost or do some serious sea mileage

I hear you on this one......having worked away in Oman a few times. There is a fabulous beach in Muscat on which I tried to get some running done, but felt v. conspicuous as a female runner even though had long sleeved top, full length baggy trousers, visor etc.. etc.. despite the 30+degrees.
    I can do down hill

You will have a third dimension to consider when fell running

I think it's a real art to bring a map 'to life' in your head...to see the 2D as a virtual glorious technicolour 3D in your head... if you know what I mean. And if that wasn't enough to keep going at the same time.

True, I missed the OMM on Saturday 25th October.

A sailor may have been more used to those conditions

Going on holiday with your family to Cuba is an obstacle to running?

    Re: Obstacles to running

I know, I'd much rather be running up a hill in the wind and rain, than sunning myself in Cuba... Oh no wait, no I wouldn't I'll go instead!

I agree with Ady, hangovers get in the way of nice long runs at the weekend and chores, housework, DIY, studying, work, socializing etc etc. SOmetimes I get annoyed that I dont have the time to run as much as I'd like but then I realise it's because I've got a lot of other good things to cram in too
